After consulting with some of our Collegial riders, Amy has changed the starting time for the Collegial ride to 10:00 A.M. and revised the route to 31 miles. The revised details are below.
Durk's ride remains at 9:00. It's a fairly hilly 52-mile route to warm folks up! Durk also has in mind a 45-mile version that reduces the climbing.
The schedule for Saturday:
Saturday, Nov. 25 - 9:00 A.M. for Durk's ride
Turkey in the Haywood!
Hillsboro Elementary School in Leipers Fork, 5412 Pinewood Road, Franklin 37064
If the forecast is correct, our run of good weekend weather will continue after Thanksgiving! So for Saturday Durk has created yet another novel route down to and beyond Santa Fe. On this of all weekends we have to do Turkey Creek, of course! Durk is giving us some challenges on Raleigh-Beard, the long Hwy. 7 climb, and Haywood Hollow, but we'll meet them! The full route is 52 miles with a rest stop at Santa Fe at mile 27. Here are the map and cue sheet. Durk says those who want to reduce the climbing can do so on a 45-mile version that he will direct.

Saturday, Nov. 25 - 10:00 A.M. for Collegial ride
Fox & Peaches! - Amy's version
Hillsboro Elementary School in Leipers Fork, 5412 Pinewood Road, Franklin 37064
Amy Crownover will again lead the Collegial ride at a 14-16 mph pace. In light of the cold weather and shorter distance, this ride will start at 10:00. Our dedicated collegial riders will head out the same way but skip the Turkey loop and the Santa Fe store. They'll still have a challenging climb up Raleigh-Beard, enjoy the fast descent on Skelley, and ride the nice ups and downs on Davis Hollow and bucolic Peach Hollow. The revised Collegial route is 31 miles. Here are the revised Collegial map and cue sheet:
