Weldon’s Shady Business!

Because of the extreme heat, the start of the Saturday ride has been changed to 7:30! This Saturday, Weldon Godfrey gives us a run out over some shady roads on the west side. We ride out to Garrison and Bending Chestnut before enjoying 10 miles of tree cover on Natchez Trace Road all the way to Hwy 7. At Fly we take Leipers Creek Rd then climb up Martin Ervin, Goshen and Shouse before cutting back across Hwy 7 again, then it's a straight run south to the Santa Fe rest stop. The route back takes Lewis up to the ridge then Chestnut Ridge Rd all the way to Theta before the fun descent on Sulphur Springs. We roll back in via Mobley's Cut, Robinson and Leipers Creek road. 

The Collegial route will be led by Dan and Selisa and stays closer to home. After 10 miles on the Long route, the Short route drops down Fox Branch and follows a loop via Leipers Creek, Mobley's Cut, Robinson, and Davis Hollow. It then works its way back on Bending Chestnut, Pinewood, Hargrove, and Wilkins Branch. All these are familiar roads, with shady sections and a rest stop at Davis General at mile 18.
