Come join us for three fun route options this Saturday....
If it's distance you want, we have a 63 mile route to Kingston Springs and back. The route snakes it's way over to Pasquo, before climbing over Poplar Creek road and down into the South Harpeth valley. After climbing up from the river, we drop down over highway 40, spin around Kingston Springs and turn back south towards Fairview. Following a refreshment stop we roll down to Fernvale, turn left on Old Hwy 96 and follow this to Poplar creek which we ride again, but in the reverse direction. We then take McCrory Lane back to Pasquo and retrace our steps back to the school via Temple Road and Del Rio Pike
The medium and short routes follow the normal Tuesday evening route, reaching the Trace via Barrell Springs Hollow and the climb over Highway 96. After the climb up the ramp to the Trace, it's a 10 mile roll to Leipers Fork with a stop at the Market. From here the 43 mile route heads to south to Boston (optional stop) before taking Bear Creek to Carters Creek, Carl Road and Southall, while the short route reaches Southall directly through Leipers Fork. Both routes converge and roll into Westhaven in the usual way, then run through the neighborhood (optional stop if needed) to reach Carlisle Lane and from there to Del Rio and back to Fieldstone Parkway
RJ will be leading and sweeping the long route. Mark Bartleson will be leading the Collegial option. Thanks to both!
The 2.5 mile section of Hwy 96 on the short and medium route is ridden regularly by the Thursday evening group, but as a state highway the shoulder can accumulate debris. We've contacted TDOT today and submitted a work request for the shoulder to be swept before Saturday.
