Saturday, Aug. 10 - 8:00 A.M. - Hoover's Gap Hustle! - Hillsboro Elementary School in Leipers Fork, 5412 Pinewood Rd. - It's been a long time since the Club went down to Leatherwood, Hoover's Gap, Kettle Mills, and Greenfield Bend, but Shelby and Mary will take us there this Saturday! The Long route is 63.5 miles, with rest stops at the Duck River Store at mile 26, the Santa Fe Store at mile 42, and even the market at mile 36 for those willing to go an extra mile east to Hwy. 50 and the quaint community of Williamsport. After the interesting southerly sojourn, riders will come back through the more familiar territory around Santa Fe and take Chestnut Ridge on the way home. The Short riders won't get to see new terrain, but they'll have a nice ride down to Fly, with a rest stop at the Fly Store at mile 17.5 or at Nett's at mile 21. And the Short riders will climb Bear Creek and get to enjoy the fun run down to Bailey and its silky-smooth new pavement! Here are the cue sheets:
