Saturday, Aug. 17 - 8:00 A.M. - Brian Angle Memorial Ride - Mac's Harpeth Bikes, 1110 Hillsboro Rd., Suite 230, Franklin 37064 - This Saturday our club ride will be the 4th annual memorial ride for Brian Angle, a dedicated rider and HBC member who was fatally injured in an accident on the Parker Branch descent in 2016.  The ride will start at Mac's Harpeth Bikes, which was Brian's shop and will offer several special promotions.

There are two ride options.  Mac's Biscuits & Back Ride is 28 miles and similar to our old Pancake route.  The Biscuits & Gravy Ride is 64 miles.  It takes the same route to Leipers Fork, descends Backbone Ridge, climbs Pewitt and Bear Creek, and then takes us way over to the Burwood area.  There are stores for rest stops at mile 12 on both routes, as well as miles 32 and 40 on the Long route.  Here are the cue sheets:

This has been a great way to honor and remember our friend Brian who was a true cycling advocate.  The ride has been a wonderful memorial to share with his widow and son.  The raffle and white bucket for donations has turned into a fun little fundraiser for his Leadership award at Brian's alma mater, Marshall University.
