The regular HBC Saturday ride, previously scheduled for 9:00 from Hillsboro School in Leipers Fork, is CANCELLED.  The forecast is for heavy rain and storms.  Fearless Leader Durk has wisely noted that even if it's not raining at ride time, it's almost certain to begin before we would finish.  And with winds of 25 mph and gusts of 40 mph, it would be impossible to ride safely.

So save your legs for Sunday, which is looking good, and come to the Holiday Party on Saturday night!

RIDE CANCELLED DUE TO STORMS, RAIN & WIND - Saturday, Jan. 11 - 9:00 A.M. - Polar Bear Ride - Oscar-Fox-Godwin Sojourn - Hillsboro Elementary School in Leipers Fork, 5412 Pinewood Rd. - For this Saturday, Durk has designed a great route on some favorite roads southwest of Leipers Fork, including Oscar Green (uphill!), Shoals Branch, South Lick, Fox Branch, Godwin, Chestnut Ridge, and Sulphur Springs (downhill!).  The full route is 59 miles, so let's hope the rain holds off!  There is a Short option on 36 miles that heads back in after Fox Branch.  Here are the cue sheets:
