Hey Riders ! - With less than 48 hours to the HBC Showcase ride, here are a few reminders….
Make sure you have your chosen route on your navigation device or phone, or have printed out a cuesheet form Ride with GPS. The route is not marked
Check your bike is in good condition. Tyres OK, gears working etc. We have no broom wagon to sweep you up if you have a mechanical issue that can’t be fixed on the road
Check your supplies: charged cell phone, spare tubes, multi-tool, inflation, snacks, 2 water bottles recommended for longer routes
It’s going to be a fine and sunny Fall day - don’t forget your sun screen
We’ve corrected a few cue sheet errors on the routes, although the routes are unchanged. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
At Harpeth Bike Club we believe we have some of the best roads for cycling across the region, if not the nation, so we are holding a special day of rides and inviting non-members to come and ride with us
For our regular Saturday ride on October 4th we have 4 routes to choose from with distances from 100 to 26 miles. Each route is run as a normal club ride. The routes are unmarked so each rider must have a GPS device or cue sheet. Rest stops along the route will be country stores, so bring method of payment. Each route will be swept by an experienced HBC member, so no rider will be left behind. HBC members can provide assistance on the road, but there is no SAG wagon so please make sure you have a cell phone, tubes, pump, and anything else you may need. Helmets are compulsory.
Hillsboro Elementary School at Leipers Fork is providing the Ride HQ, with ample parking and access to rest rooms. We kindly suggest a $10 donation for each non-member riding, which will go entirely to the School. All non-member must sign our waiver on the day before riding. This entitles you to coverage under the club ride insurance.

We will do a final check on these roads a few days before the ride, so please check back before the ride as the routes may have been modified. 100 mile route - Ride starts at 7.30am
