Granny Gadabout!

Their last try a few weeks ago was rained out, so for Saturday Jim and Amy Keffer will lead us from the nice park at the end of Granny White Pike on a 50-mile jaunt in very scenic territory.  Because the day is expected to be much cooler, the ride will start at 9:00.  We'll experience lovely Moran Road and climb and descend Waddell Hollow.  We'll be challenged by the tough climb on Griffith Road, but at least it has been paved recently!  There is a rest stop at the Shell station in Pasquo at mile 36.

Meanwhile, Amy Crownover will lead the Collegial Ride at a 14-16 mph pace, also starting at 9:00.  We are thrilled that these rides are drawing such good participation this season!  The Collegial route follows the longer version to Hwy 96, where it makes a short cut to the Trace ramp, rejoining the long route at Pasquo for the rest stop at mile 22 of that course.  Then the routes coincide for the rest of the ride.
