CCC/HBC Joint Ride
The CCC/HBC alternative ride starts from Santa Fe School, and, whilst we might be familar with the roads to Wlliamsport and some of Greenfield Bend, much of the middle section of these routes will be new territory. Just as the main ride, these croutes also offer great downhills including; Field Hollow (4 mile descent through scenic farmland); Love Branch (2.5 mile) and McNally (short, fast with 50mph possible). Duane from CCC feels this is some of the most beautiful countryside around so lets ride it and find out!
Being deep rural there are no store stops, but water and restrooms are available at mile 11 (all routes) and at mile 25 (long route). Make sure you bring plenty of fluids, snacks and some adventure spirit!
