Spring is beautiful with the most vibrant colors. Come out and enjoy it with HBC!
Weather permitting (keep your fingers crossed!) the Saturday ride offers three routes taking us on a variety of counter-clockwise loops around Faiview and the west side. We all ride together for the first 9 miles up Wilkins Branch and along old 96. While the 32 and 42 mile routes head up Fernvale hill, the long route splits off, following the South Harpeth river for 12 miles before climbing over the hill via Webb Ridge and Forest Drive to then take CCC Road towards Fairview. After rejoining the other routes and snaking through the lumpy lanes south of Fairview the common rest stop is the Fairview Exxon. All routes then follow Deer Ridge, Shoals Branch and Garrison back towards Leipers Fork. The 42 mile route adds a couple of extra sections via North lick Creek and Boston Theta to hit their mileage. Rest Stop at Mile 15 for the 32 & 42 mile routes, but not until mile 35 for the 54 milers, so be prepared!
If 54 miles isn't enough for you mileage junkies, just start early from Westhaven and supersize up to a metric+! See you out there!
