This Saturday, Mark Bartleson will lead us from Hillsboro School on routes designed to be as shady as possible, since the day is supposed to be very hot.  The starting time for Mark's ride has been changed to 7:30 because of the heat.  There are options of 35 and 51 miles.  Both routes include shady roads such as Old 96, Caney Fork, Sleepy Hollow, Oscar Green, and North Lick.  The Short route has a rest stop at Fairview at mile 15.  The Long route adds an extra loop west of Fairview and comes back to the Market at mile 21.  It adds Younger Creek, Davis Hollow, and Peach Hollow.  There's some climbing, but most of the ride should be pretty shady!

We continue our Collegial Ride, designed for newer riders and those who prefer to go at a bit calmer rate!  This Saturday Bob Whitmer returns to lead the Collegial riders on the Short route at a 14-15 mph pace.  The Collegial ride will still start at 8:00.  Here are the maps and cue sheets:
