Walker-Shoals-Theta!

This Saturday, Durk offers us a fun course that stays fairly close to home and takes in both the Lick Creeks, North and South. After climbing up to Fox's via Garrisson, the route goes down North Lick and up Walker Hill to reach Shoals Branch.  Turning then onto South Lick Creek we head east, climbing to cross the Natchez Trace before dropping to Leipers Creek Road and the steady climb up Sulphur Springs to Theta.  The fast decent of Les Robinson, the Fairview Road climb, Mobley's Cut and Bending Chestnut will get us back to Fox's, from where we retrace out steps to Leiper's Fork. The short route follows the long route until mile 22 then comes straight back in on Leipers Creek Road, avoiding Theta, 11 miles of pavement and c.700 feet of climbing 

Please note: There are no rest stops available on either route. The short route passes the Boston Store, but only when you are 3.5 miles from the finish! Make sure you carry enough fluids and snacks
