Granny's Galavant!
Granny White Park, 610 Granny White Pike, Brentwood 37027

For Saturday Jim and Amy Keffer will lead us from the nice park at the end of Granny White Pike on a 50-mile jaunt in very scenic territory.  We'll experience lovely Moran Road and climb and descend Waddell Hollow.  We'll be challenged by the tough climb on Griffith Road, but at least it has been paved recently!  There is a rest stop at the Shell station in Pasquo at mile 35.  The route is similar to last year's, except we'll take some very nice roads coming in from Beech Creek North to Hillsboro Road, then ducking into Lenox Place, taking the cut-through to Wildwood and Harpeth River Drive, going through the Arboretum, and then back to Granny White Park.  The Short route is only 21 miles, but it has some fun, tough climbs!  It is well suited for any folks who may add extra miles from home but still want some challenges with the club!

Meanwhile, Bob Whitmer will lead the Collegial Ride on a 37-mile route at a 14-15 mph pace, also starting at 8:00.  We are thrilled that these rides are drawing such good participation this season!  The Collegial route follows the longer version to Hwy 96, where it makes a short cut to the Trace ramp, rejoining the long route at Pasquo for a rest stop at mile 22 of that course.  Then this route comes in directly by Moran, Manley, the nice ups and downs on Beech Creek, and Belle Rive.

Here are the cue sheets:

Granny’s Galavant - Long - 50.5 miles - GPS

Granny's Galavant - Short - 21 miles - GPS

Granny's Galavant - Collegial Route - 37 miles - GPS
