Bailey-Burwood-Barnhill-Backbone Blast!
Hillsboro Elementary School in Leipers Fork, 5412 Pinewood Road, Franklin 37064
Saturday looks like a good day, with some chance of rain. If it stays dry, Jerry Franks will continue our outstanding Saturday ride options with a westside ride, beginning at 7:30. The route goes around to Burwood for a rest stop at mile 18. There are some climbs on Mobleys Cut, Shoals Branch, and Backbone Ridge, but lots of flat stretches too! It's a very scenic 55-mile course in our principal riding country! Jerry will sweep the Long route. Here's the cue sheet:

We continue our Saturday Collegial Ride option, which will start at 8:00. This ride is again drawing very nice turnouts. The ride takes a shorter course for those who like to proceed at a bit calmer pace, led by experienced leaders who make sure everyone is on course, and with regrouping when appropriate. This Saturday Bob Whitmer will lead the Collegial option at a 14-15 mph pace. The Collegial route is 34 miles and follows the long route until the rest stop at Burwood. Then it heads back in, but with a little detour to Fox's. Here's the Collegial route:
