Wow, that was a good call that Phil made to cancel the Saturday ride!  The forecast didn't call for drizzle all day, but Phil had a careful approach and wise insight!  While some folks got out and rode on various routes, the day never really improved.  Phil has agreed to lead the ride down to Marcy Jo's on next Saturday, April 15, which at this point looks like a much better day.

So on Sunday we will have our usual ride from Westhaven at 9:00.  Everyone will go up Parker Branch, and then we will have several options.  Treasurer Dan has proposed a 54-mile course for those interested in making up for today with a longer ride.

We will continue riding from Westhaven on Sundays during the Prime Season.  Here is a map to guide you to the parking lot at Westhaven.  Westhaven Blvd. is directly across Hwy. 96 from the end of Old Charlotte at the big sign for Gentry Farm.  There's a new traffic light there.

On most Sundays, we ride out Boyd Mill and then take the tough climb up Parker Branch. At the end of that road, various groups form for different distances and routes. It is easy to do a 25- or 30-mile route, although most regular riders will add miles along the way. Here is a 54-mile route to Fairview and beyond for the long riders.  It is also feasible to come down Cumberland from Fairview for a 40-ish ride.
