Durk's early call-off of the Saturday ride due to rain and wind has proven to be a very wise one!  But Sunday is looking good.  We are expecting a large turnout of folks who are ready to make up for lost miles!  So in addition to the usual shorter route, Treasurer Dan has designed a couple of routes to get in those lost Saturday miles!  All the details are below.

Westhaven parking lot, 1025 Westhaven Blvd., Franklin 37064 - take Hwy. 96 west from Franklin, turn left on Westhaven Blvd. at the traffic light, veer right onto State Blvd., and then take the very first left. 

We will continue riding from Westhaven on Sundays during the off-season. Here is a map to guide you to the parking lot at Westhaven. Westhaven Blvd. is directly across Hwy. 96 from the end of Old Charlotte at the big sign for Gentry Farm. There's a new traffic light there.

Remember that Daylight Saving Time ends on Saturday night. So set your clocks back or you'll get to the Sunday ride an hour early! On most Sundays, we ride out Boyd Mill and then take the tough climb up Parker Branch. At the end of that road, various groups form for different distances and routes. It is easy to do a 25- or 30-mile route, although most regular riders will add miles along the way.

Since we need to make up for the miles we lost on Saturday, here are proposed routes of 44 and 62 miles. Both start with the Old Pancake route. The 44-miler goes around to North Lick, Green Chapel, and Pewitt. The 62-miler takes Sulphur Springs up to Theta and Snow Creek down to Santa Fe for a rest stop. Then it joins the shorter route, and both climb up Backbone Ridge on the way home. Here are the cue sheets:
