Trinity Tromp & Eastside Showcase!
Cecil Lewis Park at Trinity, 3680 North Chapel Road, Franklin 37067
On Saturday Tony Neglia will lead a very scenic and not-too-hard route of 44 miles from Trinity Park. The route will introduce our new riders to the glories of Burke Hollow, one of the coolest stretches around! Then there is a long, gradual climb on Sanford Road, followed by a nice descent on Independent Hill to the rest stop at the Almaville Market at mile 19. After that, the territory is pretty flat to rolling. There is a Short option of 25 miles that takes the Sanford climb but comes back on McCanless and Osborne. And for those who are up for a longer ride, the Eastside Showcase is available. This route starts out the same way but takes PawPaw Springs to get to the Almaville Market at mile 20, and then goes south on Snail Shell and comes back on the fun but challenging course of Taliaferro! Here are the cue sheets:
Trinity Tromp - Long route - 44 miles - GPS
Trinity Tromp - Short route - 25 miles - GPS
Eastside Showcase - 57 miles - GPS
