Hiking at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park,
1025 Wilson Pike, Brentwood 37027
We know many of you enjoy riding year-round and there are some of you who like to go hiking during the cooler months. We have formed a Hiking Committee that will coordinate/organize monthly (or more) hikes during the cooler months and even throughout the year!
Location: For this month, HBC Member, Joyce Grizzle will be leading a hike at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park (1825 Wilson Pike, Brentwood, TN 37027) in Brentwood on Sunday, December 18th at 1:00pm. Smith Park is a beautiful park with scenic trails located right in the heart of Brentwood.
Details: Please allow enough time to park, get ready, use the restroom and find the group and wear appropriate hiking shoes/layers. This will be a moderate 3-3.5 mile hike and will take 1.5-2 hours.
Parking: please park in the lot to the right of the mansion (not near the soccer fields). The group will meet at the Trailhead, located near the restrooms.
Leave No Trace: Let's respect the parks and other visitors. Pack it in, pack it out. NO littering. If you would like to pack a garbage bag to collect any trash seen on the trails, please do! A small way we can do our part to help keep our Parks clean. Please keep voices to a conversational tone.
*Some of the group may decide to get food/drink following the hike if there is enough interest.
RSVP: To help us determine how large of a group we will have, please RSVP below. Spouses, family members, friends and well-behaved dogs (on a leash) are welcome too. We look forward to seeing those that can make it on Sunday!
