We have two options this Sunday — see below.
Sunday, Nov. 21 - 8:00 A.M.
A Real Pancake Ride!
Westhaven parking lot, 1025 Westhaven Blvd., Franklin 37064 -- take Hwy. 96 west from Franklin, turn left on Westhaven Blvd., veer right onto State Blvd., and then take the very first left.
Back by popular demand, Jerry and Bruce will be leading another Real Pancake ride this Sunday, meaning that we will stop for breakfast. The breakfast sandwich was big and good, although they didn’t have pancakes last time.
This is an alternate ride (8:00 A.M.) to the normal club ride that leaves from the same location, just an hour later, although that ride (9:00 A.M.) will not stop for breakfast.
We will leave from Westhaven at 8:00 and get in about 20 miles before we stop for breakfast at Puckett’s. There will be a lot of options. You can do the route that our Strategic Route Planning Office (Jerry) comes up with, or you can ride directly to Puckett’s and meet us there for breakfast at 9:30. Jerry will have us riding about 20 miles before we get there. We will probably add about 20 miles after breakfast as well or you can ride straight back.
We had a great turnout of 20 people when we tried this a few weeks ago. 9:30 was a great time to get there last time as we were able to get in and out quickly and no other customers were there. There's plenty of outside and inside seating.

HBC Sunday Ride
Westhaven parking lot, 1025 Westhaven Blvd., Franklin 37064 -- take Hwy. 96 west from Franklin, turn left on Westhaven Blvd., veer right onto State Blvd., and then take the very first left.
We continue our regular Sunday rides from Westhaven in the off-season. Here is a map to guide you to the parking lot at Westhaven. Westhaven Blvd. is directly across Hwy. 96 from the end of Old Charlotte at the big sign for Gentry Farm.

From November through March, our Sunday rides are a bit less formal. We will not have a formal sweeper but will ride in groups and watch out for each other. Riders are expected to be able to maintain a speed 15 mph or better. The standard Sunday route is 30 miles. Most members will add miles along the route, and at the start we will establish the approximate distance that various small groups intend to ride. The standard route goes out Boyd Mill, up Parker Branch, along Hargrove to Pinewood and Bending Chestnut, and back by Garrison, Bailey, and Alpakistan to the old Pancake route. Many riders will do a 50- or 60-mile ride, improvising the route as they go along. Here is the cue sheet for the standard 30-mile route:
