4000 Longpoint Way (strip mall just off South Carothers), Franklin 37064

The starting place for the HBC Tuesday night ride has been moved to 4000 Longpoint Way, but the route remains the same as last year.  This allows us to ride the busier parts of the route at the end of the ride when traffic will have dissipated.  The new starting place is the parking lot of a strip mall on Longpoint Way, just after the turn from South Carothers and across from a Wine & Spirits store.  Just look for Fredia and Pete in the lot!

The Harpeth Club has sponsored this classic ride for the last 16 years!  While many racers strive for fast times on this fairly hilly course, more moderate riders also enjoy the ride and will accompany our ride leaders.  However, this ride is NOT for novices, due to both difficulty and traffic!  Fredia Barry and Pete Cacchioli will lead the ride but there is no sweep, so riders are responsible for knowing the routes, as detailed below.  As always, our leaders will make sure everyone who left the parking lot with our group has returned before they depart after the ride (and go looking for them if necessary).

It looks like this week's ride may be rained out.  When the ride has to be cancelled because of weather, Fredia will send a message by the General List.  So be sure you have subscribed to that list.  To do so, go to the HBC website, click on "About," then click on the right side on "Club Email and Mailing Lists," and follow the very simple instructions.

The standard route of 26 miles goes out Carothers to Gosey Hill Road and Crowder Road, and then takes Meeks and McDaniel to Cox Road, coming in on Wilson Pike. A shorter route of 21 miles is available, taking Peytonsville-Trinity Road after Crowder. Some riders go 30 miles when the summer days are long enough. The standard cue sheet is below:
