Because of repaving on Carothers, the Tuesday evening ride will start from the parking lot of the shopping center on Longpoint Way.  And we'll try a different route!  Our outstanding evening ride leaders (Fredia, Pete, and Scott) continue to monitor the situation to determine the best route each week - another type of situational awareness!

The Harpeth Club has sponsored this classic ride for the last 15 years!  While many racers strive for fast times on this fairly hilly course, more moderate riders also enjoy the ride and will accompany our ride leaders.  However, this ride is NOT for novices, due to both difficulty and traffic!  Fredia Barry and Pete Cacchioli will lead the ride but there is no sweep, so riders are responsible for knowing the routes, as detailed below.  As always, our leaders will make sure everyone who left the parking lot with our group has returned before they depart after the ride (and go looking for them if necessary).

This Tuesday's weather looks great!  But when the ride has to be cancelled because of weather, Fredia will send a message by the General List. So be sure you have subscribed to that list. To do so, go to the HBC website, click on "About," then click on the right side on "Club Email and Mailing Lists," and follow the very simple instructions.

We're trying a new 25-mile route this week!  It takes South Carothers over to North Chapel and goes out Arno to Meeks.  Then it goes to Peytonsville, climbs the back side of Gosey Hill, and takes Long Lane before coming back in on Carothers.  Here are the map and cue sheet:
