Saturday, June 9 – 7:00 A.M. – Big Hill Challenge – Watertown Middle School, 515 W. Main St., Watertown 37184 – This Saturday’s big event is the famed Watertown ride, known as the Big Hill Challenge, since its main climb is indeed a verrrry big hill! Our friends in the Veloteers Bike Club are putting on this ride for the 15th time, and it’s always a hit with the HBC crew.
Parking, pre-registration check-in, day-of-event registration, and last minute mechancal adjustments all begin at 6:00 a.m. at the Watertown Middle School, 515 W. Main St, Watertown, TN.
Starting at 7:00 a.m. from the Public Square, this year’s event will feature four routes of varying distance: 13, 31, 62, 100 miles, plus a 15th anniversary option of 80 miles to avoid the afternoon heat. There’s a route to suit every cycling skill. Nestled east of Lebanon, historic Watertown combines breathtaking scenery and challenging terrain to create the perfect spot for an unforgettable cycling adventure through Wilson, DeKalb, Cannon, and Smith counties. Enjoy an after-ride meal on the lawn of the historic train station hotel located on Depot Street.
