Saturday, Aug. 19 – 8:00 A.M. & 9:00 A.M. – Second Annual Brian Angle Memorial Biscuit Ride – Mac’s Harpeth Bikes, 1110 Hillsboro Road, Franklin 37064 – This Saturday the Harpeth Club is again joining with Mac’s Harpeth Bikes in the 2nd Brian Angle Memorial Ride.  Brian was an enthusiastic and dedicated cyclist and HBC member who was fatally injured in a crash on the Parker Branch descent last year.  Last August we joined with his shop, Mac’s Harpeth Bikes, and other local shops in a memorial ride that drew nearly 200 riders.  We will repeat that this Saturday, starting from Mac’s shop.  There will be special offers and deals on food and drink from the nearby stores.

All rides will leave from 1110 Hillsboro Road in front of The Casual Pint, next to Mac’s shop. The 57-mile Biscuits & Gravy Ride will roll out at 8:00.  This route follows the Old Pancake route to Leipers Fork, does Davis Hollow and Bear Creek, and then tours the Burwood area before returning.  Brian loved it when folks “graduated” from his beloved Biscuits & Back ride to go further and faster.  Here’s the cue sheet:

The original 28-mile Biscuits & Back Ride will begin at 9:00.  It is very similar to the present Pancake route.  Here’s the cue sheet:

Please come along as we join with Mac’s and other shops in memory of a dedicated cyclist and fine man.
