Saturday, Mar. 17 – 9:00 A.M. – Polar Bear Ride – An Abyss Adventure! – Hillsboro Elementary School, 5412 Pinewood Rd. in Leipers Fork – Durk has been going easy on us, so this Saturday is make-up time for the climbers!  The Long route is 53 miles and takes us to Fairview and then into The Abyss on Lampley!  Be careful on the descent and get ready for the climb!  Then there’s a nice route to Fly and the fun run all the way in on Leipers Creek!  The Short route of 35 miles is Avoiding the Abyss!  It goes along with the Long route for 20 miles and from the rest stop takes the very fun, gently downhill run to Fernvale.  Of course, the Short riders still get to tackle Backbone Ridge!  Here are the cue sheets:

On the major summer holidays, the HBC always takes advantage of the light downtown traffic and sponsors a ride including a segment in Nashville.  These are some of our most popular rides, and in recent years have included amazing tours of Nashville murals, Music Row, the Capitol and historical locations, endangered sites, and many others.
