Each Tuesday – 6:00 P.M. – Cool Springs Ride – Healthways parking lot, 701 Cool Springs Blvd. East – Each Tuesday evening during the Prime Season the HBC sponsors this ride from Healthways in Cool Springs.  The ride leaders this season are David Wood and Peter Cacchioli, with assistance from Jeff Sammons and Fredia Barry.  We have been informed that the bridge on Trinity Road north of the Arno crossing is under renovation and will be closed until mid-September.  So for the rest of this season your ride leaders have developed alternate routes.

Here’s David’s description of the two options:

26-mile Option:  Carothers as usual> LEFT on Long Lane> RIGHT on Gosey Hill Rd> LEFT onto Crowder > cross over to Meeks > cross over to McDaniel > LEFT onto Cox, cross over to Wilson > LEFT onto Clovercroft.  This eliminates the 4-mile Gosey Hill loop.
30-mile Option: same as above, except continue on Gosey Hill as usual, after the two short climbs on Peytonsville-Trinity Rd.> then RIGHT onto Meeks and proceed to Cox to Wilson as above.

Here are the revised cue sheets, courtesy of Peter:

26-mile Option

30-mile Option

This season, we intend for this to be a ride for the broad range of club members and visitors!  The racers and A riders will head out first and watch out for each other!  Then David or Peter will make sure the B riders make it home.  Jeff and Fredia will ride with the C group.  Most riders will regroup at the intersection of Long Lane and Gosey Hill Road.  We want the racing community to keep coming and training hard, but those who are not setting a time record are encouraged to regroup for a congenial ride!
