Election of HBC Officers for 2019

We have not received any nominations for HBC officers besides those put forward by the Board, as follows:

President – Graf Hilgenhurst

Vice-President – R.J. Locurto

Secretary – Dan Jensen

Treasurer – Steve Saxton

Membership Chair – Tiffany Hetrick

Ride Chair – Larry Lewis

Social Chair – Jordy Wetzel

Adaptive Athlete Chair – Patty Willman

Webmaster – Aaron Briggs

Thus, there are no contested positions.  These nominees appreciate your endorsement and would be honored by your complimentary votes!  Members who would like to cast a vote for the entire slate or for any particular position may do so by replying to the announcement that has been sent to the membership.

These officers will take their positions on January 1 for the ensuing year.

It looks like a pretty good weekend ahead!  We’ll ride on the east side on Saturday.  There is also an off-road ride on Saturday that Johnny Crow is leading over in Hickman County.  And, if the rain holds off, we should get to ride on a fairly warm Sunday too!  Here are all the details:
Conditions are definitely improving with the arrival of spring this week.  We had two consecutive weekend rides for the first time in quite a while.  And the coming weekend promises to bring highs of 70 degrees!  Tuesday looks good as well, so the Track is ON.  We’ll have an eastside ride on Saturday.  And Johnny
We’re working our way toward springtime and the HBC Prime Season!  Our weeknight rides will begin the first week of April.  On Saturday, April 6, the Kickoff Ride and Annual Picnic will be at Edwin Warner Park.  We’ll have a fun ride from there with various options and the big picnic when the riders return. 
In recent years, the Harpeth Club, like most others, has experienced declining attendance and difficulties in hosting the big annual organized pay ride.  Everyone wants to ride the course and enjoy the rest stops and festivities, but few are enthusiastic about staffing them!  Your HBC Board is thinking and working hard to revamp our Harpeth

The Harpeth Bicycle Club is an official organization recognized by the Tennessee Secretary of State.  The Club has a Charter and Bylaws.  But they were written in the 90’s and are woefully out of date.  Since they originated in the era before communication by electronic means became so common, they contemplate a Club phone line,
