WHY IS RIDING ON THE TRACK FOR ME?

* New & Beginner Riders: There will be no dogs, cars, and no ride where you are the last one in. Inside the big oval there is a separate "beginner friendly" quarter mile oval that will offer flat, slow/moderate speed riding. This is the place where you can get used to riding next to others, learn to ride in clips and practice your bike riding/handling skills.
* Intermediate Riders: We'll have designated lanes on the track that you can cruise at your own pace. If you think you can hang on to group of fast riders simply hop onto the back of the pace-line and hold on as long as you can.
* Advanced & Racing Riders: The track will make an exciting venue for fast pace-line riding, interval training and time trial practice riding.  Pull as long and as hard as you want…when you drop most of us we'll wait for you to come around again.

Tueday NIGHT RIDE DETAILS...WHEN, WHERE, HOW?

* Tuesday Night Ride Season: Rides will officially start Tuesday, February 5th and will run through late October/November
* Ride Time: 6-8pm (under lights)
* Location: Motorsports Complex located at the Fairgrounds off of Wedgewood Avenue

HOW MUCH WILL THIS COST?

* For the trial period (first three months) the track is FREE to all HBC members who have paid their 2009 dues.  After that, the HBC Board will determine if a small fee to track users would be more appropriate.

DO I NEED TO BE AN HBC MEMBER TO RIDE ON THE TRACK?

* Yes. For insurance purposes, everyone (including guests) will need to be a member….ONLY 2010 HBC MEMBERS WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE TRACK. There will be no exceptions and the latest HBC Membership list will be kept at the gate entrance.
* DO NOT DELAY...RENEW YOUR 2010 MEMBERSHIP TODAY!:

WILL THERE BE A Tuesday NIGHT RIDE LEADER?

* Yes. Tom Spear will be our 2010 Track Ride Leader.

WILL THERE BE RULES FOR RIDING ON THE TRACK?

* Yes. The unique characteristics of track riding require that riders use it with considerable awareness and respect. We will be posting "Track Rules and Etiquette" on the HBC website as well as emailing them out to the membership before the first ride so you can get familiar with new track terminology and riding concepts. In addition, before every ride the Ride Leader will review the rules.
