Ted Kelly\'s ride description:
Next Saturday, 4/12, I will be leading (sweeping) a long hard ride that is a great training ride for those of you going to the 3-State, 3-Mountain ride in May or for those of you who just like to punish your body. Sorry beginners, but this ride is not suited for you.
The ride will be 82 miles with 11 climbs including Perkins, Mobleys Cut, Theta from two directions, New Hwy. 7, Algie Sewell (Durk\'s find), Vestal Hollow, Greenbrier Rd., North Lick Creek Rd., Wilkins Branch, and Waddell Hollow. There are 40 and 60 mile options if you want to reduce the mileage and the number of climbs. These will not be swept unless someone volunteers to do so, and volunteers are welcome. For those of you who know the roads, there are lots of other ways to shorten the ride. There are rest stops at 21, 48 and 62 miles.
The ride will start at 7:30 am at the Williamson County Administration Complex, 1320 West Main Street in Franklin, 37064. Lots of parking is available, but they have asked us to park in the lot that is behind the Health Center located to the left as you enter the Complex from West Main Street.
The cue sheet is attached if you would like to preview the route.
